Carrie Underwood’s Storyteller Tour: Stories in the Round will be making a stop in Stockton on Tuesday, April 12, 2016. This will be her first tour in three years! The tour is Underwood’s fifth and current headlining tour in support of her fifth studio album, Storyteller, which was released in October 2015. Joining her on the tour are opening acts Easton Corbin and The Swon Brothers.
Easton Corbin and The Swon Brothers
Easton Corbin is a 33-year-old country singer from Trenton, Florida. Corbin released his third studio album, About to Get Real, in June 2015. In 2010, Corbin was named American Country Awards’ New Artist of the Year. Aside from touring alongside Underwood this year, he has also toured with country stars Brad Praisley, Rascall Flats, and Blake Shelton.
The Swon Brothers, Zach and Colton, also have ties to Blake Shelton. After making it to the top 3 of The Voice and almost winning, Shelton became a mentor for the duo and helped them with the ins and outs of the music business when record labels came calling. The Storyteller Tour won’t be the first time the pair share a stage with Underwood. They performed together on several stages as children, living just down the street from each other in Muskogee, Oklahoma. The Swon Brothers’ self-entitled album was released in October 2014 and was number six in the Country charts.
Carrie’s Fifth Headlining Tour
The Storyteller Tour: Stories in the Round includes four acts and twenty-two songs from her current and previous albums. Underwood’s inspiration for the Storyteller album came from the storytelling aspect of country music. The album has made Carrie Underwood the only country artist in history to have all five of her studio albums debut at number one or number two and the only artist to score six consecutive number one albums on the Top Country Albums chart.
Fans can expect to hear songs such as “Cowboy Casanova,” “Blown Away,” “Smoke Break,” and more. Carrie Underwood will be on a 360-degree center stage giving the fans access to her wherever they are seated. Sparkles, fireworks, lasers, smoke and explosions will occur throughout the concert.
$1 from each ticket sold will be donated to Underwood’s C.A.T.S. Foundation. Tickets can be purchased at the Stockton Arena box office or on ticketmaster.com.
